How to Order Hot Snacks
Karaage-kun, frankfurters and fries sit in heated display cases near the register. You order at the register and staff fetch them for you.
1. Find the fryer case
Look for the glass display case next to the register, usually labeled フランクフルト (frankfurt), からあげクン (karaage-kun) or ポテト (fries).
2. Remember the number
Each snack has a fryer number (e.g. "F-12"). Tell the register staff the number and quantity. Numbers differ by chain.
3. Order at the register
Say the number plus "hitotsu" (one) or "futatsu" (two), e.g. "F-12 o hitotsu onegaishimasu." Pointing works fine too.
4. Wait and receive
Staff take it from the fryer, bag it, and add it to your bill. Usually under a minute — sometimes they hand it to you separately so it stays crisp.
Tips
- Karaage-kun flavor changes are announced on social media — regular (red), lemon (yellow) and 10-spice are recurring.
- Freshness peaks right after restocking — staff restock the fryer roughly every 30-60 minutes.
- Hot snacks cannot be reheated later in the store microwave.
